Made of numerous layers of Transtone, a sheet-molded compound material that is solid throughout the base and is supported by sturdy structural ribs underneath that radiate out from the drain opening. When combined with a thinset mortar installation, this creates a flex-free, water-tight installation and a foundation that you can count on. The base features a 2.6-in ultra-low threshold that is just a smidgen wider to even accommodate popular farmhouse style barn doors. The surface is scratch, impact and slip resistant with a beautiful slate finish for a minimalist look.
MATERIAL: Transtone is a sheet molded compound material constructed of many solid layers of a glass reinforced polymer resin. Transtone has 4 times the impact resistance of other bases and 2.5 times the temperature resistance.
